给的答案是C，我选的是B。我是这么想的：文章中的说的是the opposing “protectionist” hypothesis，
那也就是protectionist的观点和前面的观点相反。
前面说的观点是 that ants provide no benefit whatsoever to the plants that secrete it. 那它的反面就是蚂蚁对植物提高了好处，而B恰好就是这个意思呢。
